Interviewing with Glovo has undoubtedly been the most disgusting experience I've had in my professional career. Don't get me wrong , I'm pretty sure Glovo as an organization is great but when you have a disgusting and vile "tech sourcer" representing the organization, it creates a negative outlook for the candidate. I clear up my schedule to attend the interview and the great “tech sourcer" sends an email stating the interview is cancelled. This is just 20 minutes prior to the interview. A sane person would say - Hey interviews get rescheduled all the time , this isn’t a big deal. On asking for clarification as to why the interview was rescheduled at such a short notice - this great “tech sourcer” states - “The interviewers are not prepared enough to take your interview”. I kid you not. I have email proof. I figured this was some kind of a joke because a company with 1000s of employees can surely arrange someone else to take the interview because I as a candidate moved by schedule around just to attend the interview. But expecting any kind of decency from this "tech sourcer" is too much to ask for. This “tech sourcer” was aware that the incompetent interviewers were not prepared to conduct the interview way before hand, atleast a day or two prior to the interview but never felt the need to inform me. I have email proof for the same where this great "tech sourcer" confessed he knew it a day prior but he decided not to tell me. I am now at the final round of the interview and I have received phenomenal feedback after reach round. I have emails from this "tech sourcer" stating how much the team liked me and that my interview performance was flawless. Again I have proof. For the final round, I inform this "tech sourcer" about my personal commitments and that I would be able to attend the final interview in next 4-5 days. Let me make it clear I told this joker about my timelines and commitments way in advance even before the first interview was conducted. To this , the recruiter said "Don't worry we will manage and get your interviews scheduled." Again I have proof. There was some back and forth , despite being open to this joker about my commitments and deadlines he was scheduling my interview way past the date I was comfortable with. Firstly they messed up by cancelling the interview just 20 minutes prior to the schedule and then don't even have the common courtesy or decency to own the mistake. I pressed the "tech sourcer" and told him this was unprofessional to which he took offence and his fragile ego took over. Despite receiving phenomenal tech feedback after each round , this "tech sourcer" sent me a solo email on a different thread stating he wouldn't move ahead with my application. The reason mentioned in that email was "my tech not being in line with what is expected" despite receiving great feedback after each round and my tech expertise matching with literally everything mentioned in the job description. The only reason this joker chose not to proceed with my application is because I showed some backbone by pressing him and trying to hold him accountable for his mistakes. I can see Glovo responding to interview reviews on Glassdoor. If anyone of you have even a pinch of common courtesy or decency, reach out and I will share screenshot and proof of everything I mentioned above. I don't know how an incompetent "tech sourcer" can get away with such a behaviour. You have this person representing your organization being the point of contact for numerous candidates. Atleast keep a competent person who takes his job seriously and doesn't have a fragile ego. Moreover this sheep of a recruiter talked about Glovo culture. Let’s take a moment to read their culture. Read the article mentioned below. https://sifted.eu/articles/glovo-workplace-culture-problems If you want candidates to perceive your organization in a positive light, you need be very careful as to who you select will be the first point of contact for candidates. If you chose a joker like this "tech sourcer" , you will end up losing good candidates.

Quick interview, over 30'. A quick review of my cv, explaining my experience and answering some questions. Classical rrhh questions, why we? why is attractive the position? ... I don't like the hurry during the meeting, with a deadline on the clock. If you don't have enough time for the interview then don't pontificate for that hour or don't do it.

There were total 7 rounds in which five were technical , one was behavioural rounds, one was technical screening by the technical recruiter. Recruiter has provided short background about the company- Glovo in terms of what company does ,in how many countries Glovo is present, what is the future outlook and what are the expectation of the job role for which I was contacted. The, she asked me about the basis questions about the data structure , various sorting algorithms. In addition to that , I was asked some behavioural questions like what was challenging task you have done in corporate life and among which one you enjoyed the most. Then she briefed me about the process and what are the expectation from the role It lasted about the 30–40 mins.

The interview process is composed of three distinct stages. - First, candidates are assessed in a behavioural interview, probing for interpersonal and soft skills. The interview has three parts. First, you talk about your behavior and how you act in different situations. Second, you do live coding where you need to solve two problems using algorithms. Last, you show how you can design a computer system.

Started with a HR person doing a pre-screening. She saw me as not appropriate for the position even though with my experience I easily fulfilled 9 out of 10 of the requirements on the job posting because I did not have experience in Linux Sys Admin, I was denied the opportunity to continue further for that position. Eventually I convinced them that I would be appropriate for a Frontend position and I was then subjected to some canned "technical" questions where it was obvious that the interviewer doesn't understand and is just waiting to see if I say the correct buzzword to determine if I can proceed to the next interview stage. Next interview was with a software engineer, asking broad questions about software, like technologies, some architectural questions and some frontend. It was a bit strange however as he was a Backend engineer with no Frontend experience and was interviewing/testing me on Frontend subjects that he admittedly did not have experience in. It seemed to go okay, didn't receive any indication I answered any questions wrong. After having to inquire about the status of my application after not receiving a reply for over a week they finally replied saying that they would not proceed further. No further feedback. All-in-all, it was a very strange experience where I was being judged on my technical skills by people not experienced in the domain themselves. Bizarre to see that from a large company.
- Technical interview asked about technologies used e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, React. Architectural questions e.g. monolithic vs microservices; strengths and weaknesses and a bit about React and state management.
