I interviewed for a role in the finance department and met with a member of the finance team. During the conversation, the interviewer made a generalized statement about my experience, which bordered insulting and showed this person did not review my resume. I’d suggest interview training as the interviewer also dominated the conversation and left little time for me to discuss my experience. A disturbing observation I made was the interviewer had no FP&A experience yet had considerable influence in the hiring process despite no relevant professional experience, certifications, or education.
