    Did not have a referral. Submitted resume online. Received an email from the recruiter after about 1 week. Phone interviews with a recruiter, sr pm, and hiring manager, then on-site interview. pretty standard process. nothing special.

    • Asked very standard PM situational questions and past experience questions.
      The hiring manager was very narrow-minded. Only looking for a specific type of people. Maybe those who had similar experience as him/herself. Felt like he/she was looking for a technical program manager for execution.

      I am glad I did not end up going there. If it was not for the recent purchase of Google, it's basically a dying company. I can totally see why their market share dropped from 45% to only 3% in the course of 6 years. Executives definitely need to look for better management to attract brighter talent.   Responder pregunta

    1 Hour recruiter call, 1 Hour technical screening, then 4 hour Onsite over a span of 3 weeks.

    The interview process was average. They asked typical coding puzzle questions using coderpad and architecture questions on google docs. It seemed like a team that I would enjoy working with.

    It seemed like I passed the interview, but they became unresponsive for days. The job probably went to someone else who also had an open offer from before I started the interview (??). I was then referred to another team who was looking for similar talent, but the interviewer for that team gave me an unscheduled call at 7AM (??). That's where it all ended. Nothing made sense.

    Their recruiters have things to figure out. I'm pretty irritated about how much of my time they wasted.

    Their interview process was flawless. From the get-go, the recruiter was responsive & well-organized. She was always prompt in setting up the next steps. She went above-and-beyond in getting on the phone and made sure to inform me of where things were at.

    The interview format was standard. There was an HR screen, online tech portion, and a virtual 'on-site.' The coding challenges were fair and didn't have any 'gotchas.' They even set up a phone call after the onsite because I wanted to find out more about the company and the role. Everyone I talked to seemed smart, knowledgeable & personable.

    The process consisted of an HR phone screen, plus 2-3 technical phone interviews, followed by an on-site presentation and series of interviews. The first HR interview was to check that I had the right set of skills for the position. The technical phone interviews dealt with a algorithm design. During the on-site I presented past experience and had a series of 1:1 or 1:2 interviews that were technical.

    Extremely slow and inefficient process. It took them 3 months to schedule 2 phone screens and 1 onsite, and from there it took 7+ weeks and 4 follow ups to close the loop!

    I was asked to present a product case and present it for 45 mins only to find everyone on the room were either on their laptop or their cell phones...I found that waste of time...

    Fitbit doesn't care about candidates once they decide to drop them.

    I will never seek candidacy with Fitbit.

Both interviewers asked very broad data engineer pipeline building and big data ecosystem tools. For eg. discussion on Persto VS Oozie. They did sent for on-site interview but abruptly cancelled.
