The interview process started with a phone screen with a recruiter from HR. I had applied online through the Expedia career portal. After not hearing feedback on the role (two weeks after applying), I followed up with the recruiter on linkedin through an inmail - then the wheels were in motion. After the phone screen with the HR recruiter, I was contacted within two days to have a phone interview with the hiring manager. Phone interview with the hiring manager was very positive. A week following the interview with the hiring manager, I was invited to come onsite to interview with several members of the finance team along with one member of the business.
Expedia arranged for flight, hotel and incidentals to the Bellevue offices (an excellent experience). The morning of the interview, I met the recruiter, who walked me through the plan for the day, including providing some insightful information on the company and the people who I would be interviewing with. I interviewed with five people (including the hiring manager) and was told that interviews with other candidates were still in progress. The Recruiter told me that by the end of the next week, he would contact me regarding next steps.
I ended up not getting the role - which was a bummer. But I have to say, this was the best interview experience Ive ever had (from beginning to end).

Standard behavioral and technical interview. Varies by team and individuals. Room for growth however large company. Expanding offices. Interview was more conversational given longer work experience and aging workforce retiring. Organizational changes.

First I had a call with the internal recruiter who explained the role and asked me some preliminary questions. I then had 5 interviews with various stakeholders that the role would be working with. Questions asked were focused on behavioural questions and scenarios.

First meeting with HR, then hiring manager, then an interview loop with 4 folks on the team via Zoom.
Interviews weren't super challenging per se, but when the rounds completed I never found out about the job from a recruiter directly. Never was spoken to again by Expedia. Very poor experience working with the recruiters.
