I was contacted by the CTA about interviewing for the position within two weeks of submitting my application. My interview was a panel interview conducted virtually with four interviewers via Zoom. There was no pre-interview phone screening. The interview lasted about 30 minutes and consisted of a sequence of questions: 1. Tell me about your most recent work role 2. Why do you want to work for the CTA 3. Three situational questions framed using the STAR method 4. What questions I had for the panel The interview was not necessarily difficult in itself, but the panel had a stern demeanor that made the interview seem tense. When I asked the panel what their favorite thing about working for the CTA was, they seemed to have a hard time deciding how to answer. I received a rejection email two weeks later.
- Tell me about a time when you failed to meet a deadline. What was the situation, what was the impact, and how did you resolve the issue? Answer using the STAR method.

I first received a phone call asking for my availability, and then the interview took place two and half weeks later through zoom. During the interview the interviewers introduced themselves and explained their roles at the CTA. I was then able to explain some of my technical experience and projects, however this then transitioned into a STAR format interview. The total interview lasted around 45 minutes. I received a offer over via phone 3 weeks later.
- Please explain some of your previous projects
- What experience do you have with _______(software)

First you'll take an assessment, then if you pass the assessment you'll have a phone interview with the hiring manager and someone else. From there if selected, you'll have a with 3 to 5 people from CTA admin. The second interview can be very drawn out (45 minutes to an hour) and questions are often 3 parts long.
- Tell me about your experience completing a project by a deadline.

Solicité el puesto a través de la escuela superior o la universidad. El proceso duró 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Chicago Transit Authority en mar 2022
It was a very informal interview. It was done over zoom with basic interpersonal questions to see if you would be a good fit for the internship program and could provide quality assistance to the attorneys
- Why do you want to work here?

Must pass basic computer literacy test (Excel/Word). Interview is all based on STAR method and included total of 3 interviewers. Post interview was a disorganized mess. Lack of communication, contradictory responses.
- Everything was based on the star method. Including instances of how you turned potential failure into a success; your ability to work cooperatively.

I received an email stating I was being considered for this position and a subsequent email about two weeks later to schedule my interview. Everything seemed to be going smooth up until it was time for my interview (which is about 20 minutes away). The interview is supposed to be held via zoom and a link is supposed to be sent out the day before. I received a reminder email for the interview but, never got a zoom link. I have emailed the recruiting department several times this morning with no response.
