Very professional. I emailed with someone and then we set up a time to interview. The interview itself was very standard. They told me what is expected of interns and if I'm interested in that, etc. The woman who interviewed me was really sweet.
- Very basic PR related questions and questions about availability.

Everyone was very friendly during both the phone and in person interview. The in person interview was definitely very hard, but I felt all the questions were fair. I completed an exercise for them, and then never heard from this company again. I reached out via email, but also never received a response. I guess this is called "ghosting"? I understand if I wasn't the right fit and respect that decision, but after two interviews and one completed exercise, I think that warranted at least a "we decided to go in a different direction" email. Instead, I never heard back and then saw the position posted on LinkedIn.
- What could Bolt do better?

The interview was a group interview with the Business Operations Coordinator. There were three candidates in the interview (including me) and the interviewer. We were all in the conference room. Details about the interview: - The interview lasted about 35 minutes - The office was had a contemporary aesthetic with a purple and grey color scheme and chevron accent pillows on couches etc. (similar to the colors on the site) - The Business Operations Coordinator (she had only been at the company for 4 weeks, graduated from undergrad this year), who I had corresponded with via email, conducted the interview - She asked us a question and we each would take our turns answering it. At the end I asked what were the next steps in the process. She said that she is interviewing another 3 candidates in a group interview early the following week and another candidate on another day as well. They are looking to get candidates as soon as possible, and that she is hoping to make a decision within 1 to 2 weeks. They hire a total of 6 interns. I declined because hearing that there would be 6 interns lead me to believe that there wouldn't be much work for each intern. I now know someone who did accept the internship and she has said that there isn't much to do. So much so that she has taken up another internship elsewhere on her off days.
- Questions were: - Tell me about yourself - What are your strengths and weaknesses - What are your short and long term goals - Why Bolt PR? - Why do you like PR and why do you want to intern? - Tell me about a situation where you experienced a conflict and how you resolved it. - What sort of work environment are you looking for? - Do you have any questions for me?

The interview was lengthy and in-depth, including a few rounds of conversations over the course of a few weeks. The interviewer was prepared and organized. The questions were both historical, asking for my background, and behavioral, asking for how I would handle certain situations. I also got a good sense for the positive office culture and management throughout the process and could tell they really cared about their clients and produced excellent work.
- How do you want to grow through your potential position here?

First stage was a phone interview, which was short and casual. I was then invited for an in-person interview in the Raleigh office. This was hands down the worst interview experience that I've ever had - the atmosphere of the agency was extremely cold. The person who answered the door barely smiled at me and didn't make any effort to welcome me to the office or make me feel comfortable while I waited to interview. Then I met with the interviewer, who made me feel like she didn't really want me there the entire time. Your company invited me in! Why act this way! It felt very mean girl-ish. It was also clear that she hadn't even looked at my resume before I came in. This woman didn't care to know anything about me. Who wants to work for a company like that? I was definitely ready to bolt out of this office.
- What is your greatest strength?

Over the phone, very casual and conversational. Asked questions about experience and talked about the culture/values of the company. It was quick and informative and I was offered the position one day later.
- What does PR mean to you?

Very basic interview with standard questions. We went through my resume and I explained my skills and past experience. I did get an uppity vibe from the office and the girl who led me to the room where I was interviewed was very cold and seemed annoyed by having to help.
- Definition of public relations

Worst interview ever. They heckled me about my outfit..which was a Banana Republic skirt suit. Rude. Cold. Grilled me on my resume. Not sure if they know PR or if it's just smoke and mirrors. VP is a bit#% she needs to go. Very uncomfortable. Told me I'd be on the phone 75% of the day...so I said no thanks and left.
- Not many. Just read my resume to me and asked me my definition of PR.

I had a phone interview for an account executive position. The lady I spoke with seemed extremely disinterested and keep shuffling papers around. I almost asked if we should reschedule because it was starting to feel like a waste of my time.

I applied through LinkedIn and heard back immediately, and then not for 3 weeks to schedule the actual interview. They were looking to secure someone in the position immediately and were moving very fast. No phone interview, just an in-person which lasted about 30 mins. I sent a thank you note after the interview and received no response. Both women on the social media team seemed nice and like they got along great.
