Entrevista

This was a position to assistant the principals with administrative affairs. There were two steps for the inteview, firstly talked with the principal in Mandarin then interviewed by another recruiter in English. At the end, they would ask you to do a exam test from home. It cost about 30 minutes.

Preguntas de entrevista
  • Not much difficult questions, when talked with principal, just like chatting, but she would ask you very detailed information about your background and how you got visa and came to the U.S. The other part of interview in English was just like regular interview, just asked me a couple of very regular questions.

Entrevista

The interviewer was the Executive Director herself and she began with asking about my general background. She tried to know as much as possible and see what I would be able to contribute to the organization. It was understandable since the company was a small non-profit organization and all staff members should be multi-tasking and multi-functional. After the general informative interview, I received a series of EASY tests on computer skills of Microsoft Word/Excel, translation between English and Chinese, and Photoshop. She also tested my ability in arranging class schedules. She was concerned about the efficiency. During the test I went on chatting with her and knew her background as well. She was interested in policies and regulations related to international students. We also discussed the proposed immigration reform. I also suggested a few solutions when she brought up some questions in these areas, where I was knowledgable. She seemed satisfied. The whole interview lasted 5 HOURS but in most of the time the interviewer and I just had a relaxed and comfortable talk. She hoped me to start to work immediately the next day. I said Yes and left the office.
