Entrevistas para los mejores puestos en American Language Academy

Solicité el puesto en persona. El proceso duró 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en American Language Academy (Madrid) en jun 2018
The interview process was very strange. The first part was quite general where they asked general questions and then if you passed that they would do a skills test. Which basically involved one of their staff giving you an English grammar test where they asked impossible questions and then the staff member would criticize you as a person and as a teacher. Somehow I passed, almost crying, and then you would have to come in for training that would last hours, unpaid. I also asked around and that was the norm for them to make you feel like trash.
- What experience do you have? Why should we hire you?

The interview is ridiculous, I was there for almost 4 hours in total. They have no respect for your time and don't tell you that you'll be waiting so long. The director Miguel behaves like a naughty child in the mock lesson - very strange. I've never had children nor adults behave as he did in any of my classes. They criticised everything about me and then made out that I was lucky to be offered the job. Bizzare
- How would you teach comparisons?

I had to teach a demo lesson to 2 fake students, aka the people interviewing me. One man in particular gave me a very hard time and pretended to be a difficult student who just didn't understand anything. It was overkill in my opinion. He continued to be rude through the follow up process and criticize my performance. I wasn't a fan of this interview or the person conducting it.
- "Gotcha" questions about tough English grammar nuances.

Solicité el puesto a través de la recomendación de un empleado. El proceso duró 2 días. Acudí a una entrevista en American Language Academy (Greensboro, NC) en ene 2015
One step/phase interview, direct and straight to the point. Interview with business owner. Referred by an employee and was welcomed very well by the executive. It was a great experience, really like minded people. They don't make it hard on you with questions that have no relevance to the job or whatsoever. It's a good place to interview. Fairly easy.
- How much knowledge of accounting do you have?

simple basic nothing complicated right to the point. Basic questions describing myself, my major, work experience. Friendly and welcoming. Offer something to drink. Interview leads to a normal conversation it took almost an hour and I didn't feel it. They need to know what you can do for the school and how you can benefit it. It's better not to negotiate the salary or benefits, I felt what they offered is what they can afford.
- What can you do for the organization?
